When you feed a stray for three days, the dog will follow you for life, even if you are homeless and have no idea when your next meal is coming. The dog is a loyal companion.
When we visit some houses and the Southwest and Northeast cardinals/corners of the house are missing; we usually would advise the client to move after the requirement of five years is met.
This is because the Earth element is missing. The missing corners may result in the house owner having insecurity, not able to bear children, the mother of the house will not have good health, the family members may have a digestive issue, unstable career, spine, lower back or nasal related problems, etc.
In Feng Shui this is a terrible situation to be in, of all the five elements and eight cardinals; Earth element and Southwest and Northeast are the most important.
Do not be reluctant; there is no need to be loyal to a house when the property is not able to help, provide or protect you.
