Many years ago, when I was a tiny aka one-person show employment agent, I would lock myself inside my room and make phones call to my clients or potential prospect.

My dad would be talking loudly into his mobile phone because he is hard on hearing and my mother would rise on top of her voice to scream at my children because they have not showered after coming back from school etc

My client on the other side of the line can hear me, and there is no need to lie to them that I have a proper professional office. The address on my name card is a virtue office becomes a real embarrassment.

Today if your client can hear all the background noise and know that you are working from home, you are considered an Outstanding Citizen.
