“Toby, come here to mummy, your food is here,” Pamela said.
Toby is Pamela’s pet dog and was adopted by the family four years ago from SPCA. Pamela and husband, Tommy treated Toby like their son.
When we visited Pamela and her family during Chinese New Year for dinner, Pamela commented that her husband wants a baby, but after trying for more than a decade and unsuccessful, they are both disappointed and have given up.
I asked them if they have both sought medical help? Pamela replied that doctors have been telling them both are fine and healthy. They don’t know why they cannot bear any children and they felt their relationship is not complete without a child.
I think many couples are trying to have a child but have not been successful and has adopted a pet as a replacement for a child to make their relationship complete or fulfilled.
Having a pet is fine but treating the pet as a child and referring yourself as mummy and daddy to the animal is not a good thing.
When you want and is not able to bear a child and should your BAZI has a Dog or Goat zodiac in your couples and or children pillars, addressing yourself as the parents of the animal is not doing yourself a favour.
